At River Flair we believe that safety and rescue courses shoudn’t just be for those who are wanting to pass star awards, but for everyone who goes paddling, be it on grade 2 or grade 5.
That’s why we offer both BCU WWSR courses and Bespoke courses so that everyone we coach has a course that is right for them.
This is a two day course which follows the BCU safety and rescue syllabus. It is a pre-requisite for those looking to go on to be assessed for their 4 star or moderate water endorsements. It is an intensive course which imparts a broad understanding of white water safety and rescue techniques. Cost: £160 per person
BCU Advanced White Water Safety & Rescue Courses
This is a two day, action packed course, which follows the BCU Advanced White Water Safety and Rescue syllabus. It is an intensive course, which will equip you with the best tools and techniques for advanced white water safety and rescue.
It is also a pre-requisite for those looking to go on to be assessed for their BCU 5 Star White Water Kayak or Canoe or Advanced Water Endorsement. Cost: £180 per person
River Flair Bespoke White Water Safety & Rescue Courses
This course is tailor-made to each group and so can be anywhere between one and three days. A one day course may be appropriate for those who are looking for a refresher on specific aspects of safety and rescue. For those who are not looking to pass star awards, but are wanting to learn the best techniques for them from white water proffesionals, a two day course might be best.
For those wanting to obtain a BCU WWSR award, but spend a little more time on certain aspects of the course or learn additional techniques to those on the syllabus, a three day course is ideal.
Prices start from £80 per person.
Group rates can be arranged and will be dependant on the length of course and group size.
