Paddlesport Touring Leader Assessment

This is a two day, multi-craft assessment, which will qualify you to lead groups of mixed craft (kayaks, canoes and SUPs) on journeys on moderate open water - lakes, coastal bays, harbours and estuaries, and on grade 1 rivers, with short stretches of grade 2 white water.
One day of this assessment will be spent on open water and the other day will be on moving water, so that you have plenty of time to demonstrate all of the leadership, personal paddling, rescue skills and background knowledge and understanding required by the assessment criteria of the award.
You will finish this assessment with an individual debrief and action plan, so that regardless of the result, you will have a clear pathway on your paddlesport development journey.
