Llyn Padarn

This one day course is packed full of the best tips and techniques to keep you safe on flat and sheltered water.

We will help you develop your decision making and risk management skills, so you can avoid needing to perform any rescues in the first place.

We will also teach you the most effective rescue techniques, in a variety of craft, and help you perfect them, so that you are fully prepared for the worst case scenario.

You will finish the course with a written action plan, agreed with your River Flair coach, to give you a clear pathway for your future learning.

Before attending a Foundation Safety & Rescue Training course, your personal paddling skill level should be at British Canoeing Paddle Explore Award standard in kayak and open canoe.

If you have any questions regarding this, please feel free to contact us to discuss it.

For further details on the content of the course and the type of craft that you will be trained in, please take a look at the British Canoeing FSRT Syllabus
